Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 26, 2026
Auteur LLC ("Auteur", "we", "us") operates the Auteur platform: the studio console, client portal, production hub, the Auteur Crew app and website, and related services (together, the "Services"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Account information. Name, email address, phone number, password (stored hashed), and profile details you choose to add, such as roles, rates, city, headshot, and stills.
- Content you create. Gigs you log, invoices, receipts and expenses, availability, documents you upload to your vault, project materials, and messages or feedback you send us.
- Financial information you enter. Rates, invoice amounts, and expense records. If you pay for a subscription, payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Technical basics. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) used for security and to keep the Services running.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not use advertising networks or cross-app tracking.
- We do not use your content for anything other than providing the Services.
How we use your information
- To provide the Services: your profile page, invoices, documents, availability, and everything else you build in Auteur.
- To send transactional email you request or expect, such as sign-in links, invoices you send, document packets, and account notices.
- To respond to support requests and beta feedback.
- To protect the Services against abuse and fraud.
Your public page
If you claim a public page (for example, a crew profile at your handle), the information you choose to show there — such as your name, roles, headshot, stills, reel, and contact button — is visible to anyone with the link. You control what appears through your profile and EPK settings, and you can unpublish at any time.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers needed to run the Services: cloud hosting and storage (Amazon Web Services), payment processing (Stripe), file storage integrations you connect (such as Dropbox), and email delivery. Each receives only what it needs to do its job. We may disclose information if required by law.
Storage and security
Data is stored on Amazon Web Services in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to what is necessary to operate the Services.
Your choices
- You can edit or remove profile information, content, and uploads at any time from your account.
- You can request a copy of your data or deletion of your account by emailing us; we will act on verified requests within 30 days.
- Transactional email is part of the Services; we do not send marketing email without your consent.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and note the new date above. Continued use of the Services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
